Breaking News: “Shot Fired” at Sunlight Federal Credit Union

A domestic dispute on Wednesday afternoon leads to a shot fired and one woman in custody near Sunlight Federal Credit Union at the top of the Greybull Hill.
On Wednesday, November 03, 2021, at approximately 2:36 PM, officers with the Cody Police Department were dispatched to the area of 18th Street and Central Avenue to a report of a possible domestic dispute involving a weapon being fired in the residence.
The initial response came from two separate calls. One caller reported, “a disturbance” near Sunlight Federal Credit Union. The second caller reported a “shot fired” in the same area.
Upon their arrival, officers made contact with a female. That unidentified woman was taken into custody without incident.
The scene of the incident has been “secured.” Cody Police Chief Chuck Baker confirmed at the scene that there were no injuries and no active threat to the community.
At this point, there is no confirmation that a shot was fired during the incident.
The incident is under investigation.
