Bronc Swim Day 1 Results at State

The Cody Bronc Swim team is in Gillette for the State Swim meet, which got underway with the Preliminaries, on Thursday. Friday (today) the Finals are raring to go. The Finals get underway at 10 in the morning. Here’s a look at how the Broncs have performed following one day of action, courtesy of Cody Broncs and Fillies Swim Facebook page.

Hard to put into words what an AMAZING DAY OF SWIMMING today was!!! The Broncs were ready to race and the lifetime bests followed!!
Prelim Results:
200 Medley Relay – 4th place going into finals, 1:46.65 (.46 away from CHS program record!!) – Killpack, McKenzie, Fick & Law
200 Freestyle – B. Fick, 1:56.32, seeded 9th going into finals (lifetime best by over 3.5 seconds)
200 IM – B. McKenzie, 2:12.16 – seeded 11th going into finals (lifetime best by over 4 seconds), I. Wood, 2:32.06 – 21st place finish
100 Fly – J. Killpack, 56.02 – seeded 7th going into finals (lifetime best by almost 2 seconds), J. Woods, 1:03.73 – 18th place finish (lifetime best by over 7 seconds!!)
100 Free – B. Fick, 52.33 – seeded 8th going into finals (lifetime best by 1.5 seconds)
200 Free Relay – C. Kingston, I. Wood, J. Woods, W. Law, 1:48.72 – seeded 11th going into finals
100 Back – J. Killpack, 56.20 – NEW BRONC PROGRAM RECORD (previously set by J. Killpack, 58.05 in 2021), seeded 3rd going into finals
100 Breast – B. McKenzie, 1:04.93 – seeded 9th going into finals (lifetime best by 1 second!), J. Woods, 1:10.01 – 19th place finish (lifetime best by over 5 seconds), W. Law, 1:11.55 – 21st place finish (lifetime best by almost 3 seconds)
400 Free Relay – B. Fick, J. Woods, J. Killpack, B. McKenzie, 3:35.37 – seeded 7th going into finals (an almost 9 second drop from Bronc season best)
