Bronc Wrestlers 3rd at Regionals, Ashton Hubbs Won Own Event

The Cody Bronc Wrestling team was in Evanston over the weekend taking part in the Class 3A West Regional Tournament.

The Broncs would come away with a 3rd place finish. Powell took 4th and Green River won the event.

The Broncs had 3 players claim a Regional Title and they were: Ty Peterson at 113 pounds, Jackson Wood at 152 and Grayson Beaudrie at 182.

A pair of Broncs would finish in 2nd and they were: Dylan Campbell at 170 and Jace Grant at 220.

William Wood was 3rd at 106 with Micah Grant 3rd at 145.

The rest of the finishers include:

Lance Baggs- 4th at 106

Trey Smith- 8th at 120

Taylor Baggs- 5th at 126

Lucas Loren- 6th at 182

Wyatt Barton- 6th at 220

Zach Barton- 7th at 285

Meanwhile, the girls division did not have a Regional Tournament but that didn’t stop the Fillies lone grappler, Ashton Hubbs, from going out and dominating at a separate event. Hubbs would start off the weekend with a 1st place finish at her own tourney.

Up Next: The Cody Wrestling teams will be in Casper for the State Tournament. 

The State Tourney takes place at the Ford Wyoming Center where the Broncs will be competing Friday and Saturday.

Ashton Hubbs will take part in the 3A girls State Championship Tournament all day Thursday.
