Broncs And Fillies Car Wash Opens This Weekend

Written by on May 3, 2023

Now that winter has finally packed its bags and left Wyoming, cars that have been subjected to the salt, dirt and everyday road grime from all the snow and ice are much more noticeable in the brilliant spring sunshine.

Car washes have been busy with long lines as the temps have warmed up as people wait patiently to have their cars washed and shined.  Thank goodness Cody has another option when getting their cars cleaned.

Broncs and Fillies Car Wash Grand Opening

Broncs and Fillies Car Wash, on Sheridan Avenue, is opening and the public is invited!

Broncs and Fillies Car Wash (the previous Lucky’s Car Wash) is having their grand opening this Friday and Saturday at 2431 E. Sheridan Avenue.  Owner Tony Martoglio, and business partner Leslie Adams, bought the old car wash and have made some improvements like four new wash bays and a bay that is large enough to wash a big piece of equipment like a semi truck.

But according to Tony, this is more than just a place to get your car clean.  There is sentimental pride that goes into his new venture as well.  “My dad was a football coach here forever and a school teacher in the school district and both my parents worked in the school district, and I went ‘Heck, I’m going to call it the Broncs and Fillies Car Wash.'” But Tony’s love for his parents and their former employer also inspired him to make a difference in the community with his car wash.  In honor of his late mom and dad, Tony says that he will donate 10 percent of their net profit every quarter to the athletic programs at Cody High School. “And I talked to Tony Hult [the athletic director at Cody High School]and he is all in favor of it.” Tony adds that his late mom and dad would be proud of their son’s commitment to Cody because, “they loved giving back to the kids.”

Born and raised in here, Tony says it’s important to “keep the money in town” to keep Cody thriving. It’s a simple premise that if you keep the money here, “everybody prospers off of it.”

A former rodeo clown at the Cody Nite Rodeo for 45 years, Tony is also retired from the Cody Volunteer Fire Department.  “I’m just a hard-working guy,” he says without a hint of braggadocio.

Broncs and Fillies Car Wash will be operated by Tony and his son Jordan and will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. “If somebody can’t wash their own car, just call me and I’ll make sure  somebody’s there to wash it for them.”

Tony says he’s excited to be part of the grand opening celebrations on Friday and Saturday, starting at 9AM. The first 200 customers will get a free chamois.
