Center of the West's Free Book Signing w/ Michael Francis

Buffalo Bill Center of the West Holds Free Book Signing with Michael Francis

Written by on December 1, 2022

On Thursday, December 8th, 2022, Buffalo Bill Center of the West is hosting a free book signing with wildlife photographer Michael Francis at Points West Market from 1–3 p.m.

Francis will be available to sign two of his works, Yellowstone Collectibles: An Illustrated Introduction to the Park’s Historic Souvenirs, Books, Art, and Memorabilia and Found Photos of Yellowstone: Yellowstone’s History in Tourist and Employee Photos.

After a career as a wildlife photographer, Michael Francis set a goal for his retirement: devoting time to working on his Yellowstone Park collection, a project special to him. The result was the book Yellowstone Collectibles, a history of the memorabilia from the park. Soon he added Found Photos of Yellowstone, the culmination of about 45 years of ferreting out historic photographs of the park.

Points West Market has copies of these two books, as well as some of Francis’s other titles, for sale. As he signs books, he chats with visitors and shares stories of the collectibles and photos he has gathered through the years.
