Buffalo Bill’s 173rd Birthday Tuesday

It’s Buffalo Bill’s birthday on Tuesday, and celebrations are taking place this weekend all over Cody.
The Buffalo Bill Center of the West is offering free admission on Sunday, and the Knights of Columbus are holding their 27th annual “Buffalo Bill Birthday Ball” Saturday night.
Doug Nordberg with the Knights of Columbus says that their birthday party celebrates the man who brought this town to life. And how old would he be on February 26th?
The event Saturday night will be held at the Cody Auditorium, which is re-named “Wolfville Hall” every year for the event. It’s a fundraiser for the Knights of Columbus, who take the proceeds and donate them to charities throughout Cody. Tickets can be purchased at the Cody Chamber or from any Knights of Columbus member.
The next day, the Buffalo Bill Center of the West opens its doors for free to continue the celebration. Then on Tuesday at 11 a.m., Cody High School’s FFA chapter hosts its wreath-laying ceremony at Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney’s sculpture Buffalo Bill—The Scout just north of the Center of the West.
