By Western Hands Opens Today

Rendezvous Royale begins in earnest today in Cody, an annual celebration of art and artisanship that will feature round-town events, free art displays, demonstrations and the opportunity to purchase art from the world’s top western artists.
Today’s events include the opening of the By Western Hands exhibit at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Dennie Hammer with By Western Hands says that their organization features western-themed functional art forms ranging from wood to glass, metal, leather and antler.

The By Western Hands gallery on 12th Street isn’t yet open for visitors, although a sneak preview will happen during tonight’s Art Walk, which will feature exhibits at several locations in downtown Cody from 5-8 p.m.
The fourth-annual By Western Hands Invitational Design Exhibition will take place Sept. 20-22, on the south lawn of the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, between the main building and the Buffalo Bill Art Show & Sale tent.
