Casper PD: $15,000 for Info on Abortion Clinic Arsonist
Written by Andrew-Rossi on March 3, 2023
Someone knows something – and the Casper Police Department hopes the extra $10,000 will get the information needed to arrest the suspect in the ongoing F.B.I. investigation.
The Casper Police Department has increased the reward for information that leads to the apprehension and prosecution of the person, or persons, who committed the crime of Arson on May 25, 2022, at Wellspring Health Access, 918 East 2nd Street, Casper, Wyoming.
Through the assistance of a concerned community member, an additional $10,000 will be added to the existing $5,000 reward already offered by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (B.A.T.F.).
The $15,000 reward is meant to encourage someone with relevant knowledge to step forward with information that leads to a successful conviction in this case.
The Casper Police Department is still working with the B.A.T.F. and the F.B.I. The investigation is ongoing.
“We know there is someone out there with information about who committed this crime,” said Lieutenant Jeff Bullard. “Someone either has to recognize the person in these pictures or has firsthand knowledge of what happened that night.”
He went on to say, “It’s important to recognize that, regardless of the target or their reasons for starting the fire, the arsonist(s) put members of our community in direct peril. First responders, including firefighters, police officers, and paramedics, were immediately exposed to the dangers of extinguishing the fire and preventing its spread to neighboring buildings. Additionally, the residents and tenants of the occupied apartment complex, mere feet from the arsonist’s fire, were callously placed in harm’s way. Had it not been for the rapid response of the first responders, everyone in that apartment building would have been in unimaginable danger. Crimes like these have an impact on our entire community, and we will exhaust every resource to hold offenders accountable.”
In addition to the increased reward, the Casper Police Department has established a specific tip line and email address for individuals to provide information regarding this crime.
They can either call 307-920-2862 or email investigators at PDTips@casperwy.gov. Tipsters should leave as much detailed information as possible.
If you leave information, you can do so anonymously. However, anyone with information must identify themselves when providing that information – unless they don’t want the $15,000.
“We can work to keep you anonymous with the suspect and the press, but we will need to know who gave us the information for the tipster to receive the reward,” said Lt. Bullard.
Additional surveillance video footage of this suspect can be viewed on the Casper Police Department Facebook page. This has been posted in hopes of better recognizing and identifying the suspect.
