Clark School Closed Today

The bitter cold and heavy snow that’s fallen in the region in the last few days has impacted at least one school in the area.

Steve Janes with Park County School District 1 says that due to the extreme weather, the elementary school in Clark will be closed today, with no buses running.

While western Wyoming has been blasted by very significant snowfall since Saturday, northern Wyoming has been in the deep freeze. The national weather service office in Riverton reports that the high in Cody on Tuesday was 2 below zero. The Cody Airport has been below zero for at least the last 38 hours, and this is 30 to 40 degrees below average. However, there is some good news. The highs today are expected to be 10 to 20 degrees warmer.
