On January 6th & 7th of 2023, the Cody Country Snowmobile Association is hosting an evening class about “avalanche awareness.”
The class will be held at the Holiday Inn in Cody at 6:30 pm and food will be provided.
On Saturday, there will be a field class at the Beartooth Safety Shelter at 10 am. Folks will need their own “beacon,” “shovel,” and “way to get up the mountain.”
Cody Country Snowmobile Association writes, “this training is open to anybody that recreates on the snow.”
The presentation and training are possible with grant funding from the Teton Avalanche Center through the Recreation Trails Program.
Additional funding comes from the SKI-DOO Snow P.A.S.S. Grant supported by the Park County Travel Council.
