Cody Cubs Baseball Drop 3 of 4 Vs. Billings, Miles City

The Cody Cubs were back in action over the weekend as they played host to Miles City and the Billings Cardinals.
The Cubs would only manage to win 1 of the total 4 games played. They defeated miles city 9-6 in their first game on Saturday.
Game 1, Saturday- Cody defeats Miles City 9-6:
Jace Jarret got the win pitching 6 innings. Gave up 7 hits, 4 runs, 3 earned. Walked 2 and struck out 1.
Cody used an 8-run 4th inning to power their way to victory.
Ben Reinker led the way going 3-4 at the plate with a Triple, 2RBI and a run scored.
Dominic Phillips hit his 2nd Home Run of the season.
Game 2, Saturday- Cody falls to Miles City 10-13:
Ben Reinker took to the mound and pitched 5 innings. Got the No Decision. Gave up 10 hits, 6 runs (all earned) and struck out 5.
The Cubs led 8-6 entering the final inning. Miles City scored 7 in the 7th.
Ben Reinker, again, led the way going 3-5 at the plate.

Game 1, Sunday- Cubs fall to Billings Cardinals 18-16:
Trey Schroder took to the hill for his 3rd start of the season and pitched 3 innings. He gave up 7 hits, 3 runs (all earned) struck out 4 and walked one. The Cubs had an 11-3 lead after 3.
Billings outscored Cody, 15-5 in the final 4 innings.
Trey Thomasson, Trey Schroeder and Jace Jarrett all had 3 hits for the Cubs in this one.
Wyatt Carlson hit his first home run of his Legion Baseball career in this one. A 2-run homer over the left field fence.
Game 2, Sunday- Cubs shut out 14-0
Cubs were no hit in this one…

Following all the action, the Cubs are now 3-5 on the season.
Up next: They will take part in the Jackson Tournament this coming weekend. Game times are TBD and all games will air live on KODI.
