The Cody Cubs wee in Jackson Hole Wyoming all weekend for the Jackson Tournament.

The Cubs would go 2-2 over the two days, defeating Rock Springs and Powell, while falling to Jackson and Gallatin Valley Montana.

In the first game of the Tourney, the Cubs would square off against Rock Springs and came away with the 11-10 victory. Cody would score in every inning of the contest and held on for the 1-run win.

Jace Jarrett was 3-3 at the plate, a home run shy of the cycle with 3 RBI’s. Dominic Phillips hit his 2nd home run of the season in the game.

In their second game of the Tourney, Saturday night, the Cubs would take on the host team, Jackson, losing by a final of 10-6.

Jackson Schroeder took to the hill in that one and threw 5 innings of 5 hit ball, struck out 5 and gave up 3 runs.

In the top of the 6th Schroeder would help out his own casue, blasting a 3-run homer over the left center fence to put him in line for the win.

However, the Giants used a 7-run 6th to ultimately pull away for the victory.

In game 3 of the tourney, Cody faced off with Gallatin Valley and the comeback would fall short as they lost by a final of 8-5.

Cody would strike first in the contest, leading 2-0 after the first inning but the Outlaws combined to score 8 runs in the 3rd and 4th innings. Cody would bring in a pair in the 7th but just couldn’t quite complete the comeback.

And in their final game of the tournament, Cody was matched-up with their Park County Rivals, Powell, for the first time this season in a non-conference affair.

Trey Schroeder would go 6 innings of 4 hit ball while striking out 6 as the Cubs came away with the 11-2 victory.

Powell would lead 2-1 after 2 innings but from that moment on, it was all Cody. The Cubs had a 4-run 4th and a 4-run 5th to run away with the win.

Jackson Schroeder would fall a home run shy of the cycle, going 3-4 with 4 RBI’s.

Following all the action, the Cubs are now 6-2 on the season.
