Cody Cubs Set to Defend State Crown

As the Cody Cubs get set for the State tournament, which begins tomorrow, they know what it means to come away state champions. The Cubs all season have preached, “do your job” “get one percent better each day” and now the Cubs are on the brink of back-to-back state championships. Tristan Blatt, Ethan Johnston and Devyn Engdahl look to lead the charge for Cody who are just as hungry as ever for another title.
Tristan Blatt decided to come back for one more year and what a summer it’s been. He leads the team in Home Runs, Triples. I caught up with Tristan prior to State and here’s that interview.
Ethan Johnston, too, came back for another go around with this squad and has been the glue of the middle infield, playing shortstop, second base and pitching. Here’s my 1-on-1 interview with Ethan prior to State.
Devyn Engdahl has taken another step in his game this season, as proven with him going on to play at the college level. He leads or is second on the team in several categories. Devyn and I sat down to talk before State and here’s that interview.
