Cody Cubs Split with Billings 406 Flyers

The Cody Cubs American Legion Baseball team was back in action Wednesday night for a double header, hosting the Billings 406 Flyers.
In Game 1, Billings would take over in the 7th inning scoring 6 runs to defeat Cody 15-9.
Jackson Schroeder would tie things things up, at nine a piece, in the bottom of the 6th after launching his sixth home-run of the season. Billings would outlast Cody in the end.
In Game 2, Ethan Johnston would take to the hill for his second start of the season, tossed 4.1 innings while giving up 3 hits, 1 run and striking out 3 in the Cubs 9-2 victory. At the plate Johnston was 2-4 in game 2.
The Cubs would take over in the 3rd inning scoring 7 runs and cruised to the night cap win. Devyn Engdahl, Johnston, Jackson Schroeder, Wyatt Carlson and Trey Schroeder all picked up RBI’s in the inning.
Following the Wednesday night split the Cubs are now 16-7 on the season.
