The Cody Fillies Softball team continues to show their the cream of the crop in the West.
Last weekend, the Fillies played host to the Casper schools. Friday night was senior night vs. Kelly Walsh while Saturday they played host to Natrona County.
While the Fillies did suffer their first 2 losses of the season, both non-conference affairs to Kelly Walsh and Natrona County, Cody still looks to be the No. 1 seed out of the West.
The Fillies won Friday’s conference affair with Kelly Walsh by a final of 8-7. The Fillies would win it in extras thanks to a Violet Wollschlager RBI Double in the 9th.
They would suffer their first loss of the season, in game 2’s non-conference affair, 8-1.
On Saturday, vs. Natrona, Cody would rally from a 4-run hole to come away with the 7-4 victory.
They would fall in game 2, 13-5.
The week before, against Worland the Fillies stymied the Lady Warriors, coming away with a pair of wins.
The Fillies are now 12-2 overall on the season, 7-0 in conference play, 1st in the West.
It’s hard to believe but we are down to the final few weeks of the season.
The Fillies will be on the road the rest of the year.
They take on Rock Springs, Friday.
Saturday, they’re over at Green River.
On Tuesday May 9th, they’ll head over to Gillette to face Thunder Basin before closing out the regular season against Worland on the 13th.
State begins May 18th in Gillette.
