THE CODY BRONCS RAN FOR 6 TOUCHDOWNS AND OVER 400 YARDS FRIDAY NIGHT EN ROUTE TO A 47-20 VICTORY OVER THE RAWLINS OUTLAWS.
RAWLINS WOULD GET ON THE BOARD FIRST DRIVING 81 YARDS DOWN THE FIELD, CAPPED OFF BY A KADEN FORNEY 12 YARD RUN. AFTER THAT IT WAS ALL CODY. THE BRONCS WOULD REEL OFF 27 UNANSWERED POINTS AND FOLLOWING A TRISTAN BLATT INTERCEPTION THEY LED 34-13 AT THE HALF.
CODY WOULD SCORE TWO MORE TIMES IN THE SECOND HALF TO PUT THE OUTLAWS AWAY.
LEADING THE WAY FOR THE BRONCS WAS MATT SANDOVAL WITH 107 YARDS ON THE GROUND AND 3 TOUCHDOWNS WHILE SOPHOMORE BACK CHAZ COWIE HAD 115 YARDS RUSHING AND ONE SCORE.
THE BRONCS HAD 10 DIFFERENT PLAYERS RUSH THE FOOTBALL.
“I THINK OFFENSIVE LINE DID A GREAT JOB. WE WERE DOWN ETHAN LITTLE TODAY SO WE HAD TO MAKE CHANGES ON OUR O-LINE AND I THOUGHT GUYS STEPPED UP. JEFF WILLIAMS HAD TO GO TO CENTER, WE HAD TO MOVE OUR TACKLE OVER TO THE OTHER SIDE AND OUR GUARD TO TACKLE. SO WE HAD TO CHANGE IT UP A LITTLE. I THOUGH OUR O-LINE DID A TERRIFIC JOB AND THAT’S WHERE IT STARTS, WITH THOSE GUYS UP FRONT.”
WITH THE WIN CODY IMPROVES TO 3-0 ON THE SEASON.
UP NEXT: IT’S A CLASH WITH 3A WEST RIVAL JACKSON FOR HOMECOMING FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 20TH.
