Taking a look at this weekends Cody athletics sports schedule.

The Weather has caused quite a stir for this weekend’s action across the Cowboy State. Many Cody athletics teams have had their events either called off or post-poned due to several road closures. Here’s a look at the most up to date info that we have available.

The Cody Basketball teams hit the hardwood for a match-up with their Park County Rivals, tonight, in Powell. The Fillies are set to tip-off at 5:30 with the Broncs to follow. All the action can be heard live on KODI. Pregame is scheduled for a 5:10 start.

Both Cody Basketball teams were scheduled to host Casper Natrona County on Saturday but those games have been postponed, once again. The plan, according to Cody High Activities Director Tony Hult, is to rescheduled them. When they get rescheduled for is to be determined. Stay tuned.

Cody and area wrestlers will be competing in one of the biggest wrestling tournament the cowboy state has to offer, at the high school level, this weekend. The Ron Thon Memorial take place today and tomorrow in Riverton. This event is scheduled to continue as normal as all teams are present.

The Cody Bronc Swim teams were scheduled to close out regular season competition this weekend but there’s been changes to their schedules as well. The Bronc swimmers will no longer be heading to Buffalo and Gillette this weekend for meets. The Buffalo meet has been rescheduled for Tuesday January 31st. Instead of going to Gillette, tomorrow, the Broncs will now head to Worland, if the roads are good.

The Alpine Ski teams are back in action this weekend. The Downhill Skiers play host to their own invite, taking place up in Red Lodge, Mont. That event is still a go, as all the teams are present. The Nordic Skiers were supposed to travel over to Casper for a pair of events but due to the weather the Ski Meet in Casper has been canceled.

The Yellowstone Quake hockey team is back in action over the weekend as they take to the road once again. The Quake will travel up north for a pair of face-offs with the Bozeman Ice Dogs, today and tomorrow. Puck drops at 7:30pm both nights.

Some other info to pass along. Speech and Debate in Casper has been canceled.

And State Cheer and Dance Competition in Casper has been postponed due to the weather as well.
