Cody Nite Rodeo Finals This Weekend

Summer is almost over.

How do we know? Because the Cody Nite Rodeo finals are happening this week.

The three-day finale this weekend wraps up the 81st season of the Cody Nite Rodeo. According to stock contractor Maury Tate, the top ten finishers from the summer in each of the nine events will be competing for $45,000 in prize money.

Mike Darby with the Cody Stampede Board points out that a big boost to the number and quality of the Nite Rodeo contestants this year is the school that has been put on for the last few years, teaching young people how to win at these events.

The Cody Nite Rodeo Finals will be this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Stampede Grounds.
