Written by on May 25, 2021

June 1, marks the first day for the Cody Nite Rodeo at the Rodeo Capital of the World. Every night until September, there’s a rodeo in town.

After a hard year with COVID-19, the Cody Night Rodeo is opening up to full capacity. Last year, the rodeo season was in question due to the pandemic. But the Rodeo fought hard to have their rodeo season and was successful

The general manager of the Cody Stampede Ed Bednarz expects great crowds coming into the 2021 season.

“Based on our pre-sales, we are through the roof,” Bednarz said. “It’s looking like our centennial year if not better depending on the rodeo. It is looking like a busy season.”

When looking forward to what is happening this season.

“Xtreme Bulls are back!” Bednarz said. In addition BullFighters Only is coming to the Cody Night Rodeo on June 30th.

Xtreme Bulls is an tour event by the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association that showcase the best bull riders. This year they will be performing on June 30.

After Xtreme Bulls, Bull Fighters only will happen. An event in which a bull fighter will go against a bull for 60 seconds to score the most points based of the how bull and the fighter perform.

July 1 through July 4, The annual Cody Stampede Rodeo will be back for its 102nd year.

Big Horn Radio Night is on June 5 where Tris Munsick and The Innocents will perform followed by a rodeo.

Bednarz encourages everyone to purchase their tickets in advance on their website. “Being it a busy season and the fourth of July, I encourage you to buy the tickets early.”

Cody Nite Rodeo will happen every night starting June 1 at 8pm and will go till the end of August.
