Cody VA Clinic Grand Opening Friday
Written by Andrew-Rossi on June 6, 2018
The new Veterans Affairs Clinic in Cody is holding a grand opening and a ribbon cutting ceremony this Friday.
The new location has been open since December of 2017, but a formal announcement to the community has been delayed until this week. The new clinic replaces the one that had been operating in Powell for 18 years. The department of Veterans Affairs remodeled an old steel sided building on Rumsey Avenue from the inside out, and the clinic now houses several exam rooms, a fully functional lab, and has tele-medicine capability.
Operations Director Toni Durrance says that the clinic is a help to local military veterans because they now don’t have to travel to Sheridan or Cheyenne to receive their VA-benefit medical care.
The grand opening will be Friday, June 8th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Durrance says that lunch and refreshments will be served.
