Written by on August 15, 2018

A Cody woman has been hospitalized after being thrown from her horse on the South Fork.
46-year-old Dawn Denning was riding horses with her husband Mike just southwest of the Big Hat Ranch on Monday, when her horse threw her and she suffered a possible head and back injury.
The Park County Search and Rescue crews were dispatched after the call came in at 8:12 Monday night. Two ground teams and a wilderness medical team from Cody Regional Health arrived at the scene at about 9:30 p.m., where Denning was stabilized and transported to an ambulance on a wheeled stretcher.
There is no official word on Denning’s condition at this time.
