Cody Wrestling 6th at State

The Cody Broncs were in Casper on Friday for the Class 3A State Championship tournament and would come away with a 6th place finish. That’s back-to-back years the Broncs have finished 6th at State.

Jackson Wood would finish as the highest placer for the Bronc grapplers coming in 2nd place.

Star Valley is the State champs finishing with 228 points, Douglas finished 2nd and Worland came in 3rd place. The Broncs would tally 105.5 points. That’s a point and a half better than Powell.

The Broncs had nine grapplers place 6th place or better. Wood (160) finished 2nd, Keaton Stone (182) came in third place, Brady Deming (152) finished 4th, for the second year in a row, while Grayson Beaudrie (170) was 4th as well. Ty Peterson (106) finished 5th. The Broncs had four wrestlers finish 6th. They were: Taylor Baggs (106), Dylan Campbell (152), Collin Lindemann (152) and Danny Becker (285). 

Another wrestler worth noting is Emma Karhu of Powell. She would have a stellar 2020-21 season as she placed 5th at 126 pounds.
