Cody Wrestling: State Tournament Preview and Tracker

The Cody grapplers will be in Casper all weekend long competing at the Class 3A State Wrestling Tournament.

The Girls State Tourney takes place all day Thursday with the boys State Tourney to run Friday and Saturday.

Below, we’ll take a look at the each wrestlers ranking, give you a little insight into the State Tourney and show you where you can track all the live action.

Rankings:

Cody’s lone Filly, Ashton Hubbs, enters State as the No. 2 ranked wrestler at her weight, according to WyoWrestling. The girls State Tournament is all class state tourney, meaning, there’s no separate divisions for Class 2A, 3A, 4A… They’ll all be grouped together.

On the boys side, Cody has a handful of wrestlers ranked at the 3A level, courtesy of WyoWrestling.

William Wood and Lance Baggs are ranked 4 and 5 at 106 pounds.

Ty Peterson is the topped ranked 3A wrestler at 113.

Trey Smith is ranked No. 3 at 120.

Micah Grant is 4^th at 145.

Jackson Wood is tops at 152.

Dylan Campbell is 2^nd at 170.

Grayson Beaudrie is tops at 182.

Jace Grant is 2^nd at 220.

And Zach Barton is 6^th at heavyweight.

State Preview:

The Broncs enter the State Tournament coming off a 3^rd place finish at the Regional Tourney.

The Broncs had 3 players win a Regional title and they were: Ty Peterson at 113 pounds, Jackson Wood at 152 and Grayson Beaudrie at 182. That was the 2^nd year in a row that Wood had won a Regional title.

Trey Smith and Grayson Beaudrie enter State looking for back-to-back state titles. They each won State a year ago, at their respective weight classes.
