Cody’s Gorman Helps Lead Team North to Shrine Bowl Victory

The 49th Annual Shrine Bowl All-Star Football game took place in Casper on Saturday.
The North Team would dominate the contest, outscoring the South Team by a final of 37-3.
Cody’s Daniel Gorman was named Defensive MVPP of the game. That’s back-to-back years a Cody Bronc garnered that title. Nic Talich won it last year.
Gorman had 12 tackles, one for a loss and one sack.
Cody’s Drew Trotter finished with 6 catches for 84 yards.
Following the game Gorman, along with others, were interviewed by Wyopreps and here’s that video.
Cody had four players in the game: Gorman, Trotter, Chaz Cowie and Jonny Williams.
Plenty of area players had their fingerprints all over the contest. 14 players from the Basin out of the 36 total made up the North roster. That’s nearly 40% of the North roster fielded by teams in the Basin.
Cowie had 2 catches for 19 yards.
Shoshoni’s Nathan Cousineau had a 37-yard Touchdown catch. He finsished with 2 catches for 54 yards.
Worland’s Jorey Anderson would knock in a 25-yard field goal.
Meeteetse’s Dace Bennett had one catch.
