Cody’s Inclement Weather: Cancellations & Closures, Dec. 21st

City Hall and the Recreation Center will be closing at 3:00 today. Sanitation garbage pickup has been suspended for today as well.
The Sip & Paint at Cody Craft Brewing has been canceled due to inclement weather and the brewery itself is closed as well. CCB writes on FB, “rescheduled for next week 12/28 @ Cody Craft Brewing though. So don’t worry, we will still be painting this gem.”
Due to the weather, The Pig & The Hog will be closed today, writing “stay warm.”
Park County School District 6 is closed today says Superintendent Vernon Orndorff, due to whiteout conditions and unsafe travel.
All entrances into Yellowstone National Park closed to all traffic due to Wednesday’s snowstorm.
Cody Veterinary Hospital is closing it’s office at 1pm due to poor road conditions, saying, “We will still be seeing emergency cases as needed. If you are having an emergency please call our main number at 307-587-3151 until 5:30pm. Our after hours number is 307-899-9205. Thank you for your understanding!”
The Proud Cut is closed. Fat Racks BBQ will be closed from December 21st until January 3, 2023.

— WY28: Farson – US 287 / WY 789: Closed BOTH DIRECTIONS due to winter conditions
— US14A: Between Cody and Lovell closed both directions due to winter conditions
WYDOT writes, “South Pass plows are pulling off the road, due to poor visibility and strong winds, mixed with new snow. Prediction is over 4 inches with 2 inches or more already on the ground and in the air.
Wind speeds are 60- 80 mph on the Red Canyon sensors.”
All flights into Cody have been cancelled, according to information shared with KODI Radio.
The U.S. Postal Service delivers in all weather, one Facebook user writes: “Just wanted to publicly say I’m sorry to delivery people today…and also say THANK YOU! for doing what you do! I appreciate all your effort and resilience.”
