Construction Projects in the Region Will Improve Roads

Written by on May 24, 2017

Travelers between Cody and Greybull this week should be aware of some road construction today and tomorrow.
A Wyoming Department of Transportation asphalt paving crew is scheduled for Park County work beginning today. The hot-mix asphalt patching will be done on Highway 14/16/20 about 10 miles east of Cody.
Cody Beers with WYDOT says that the work is meant to extend the life of the highway.

Around the region, WYDOT recently awarded contracts for other projects that will impact traffic this summer, but will ultimately be beneficial to drivers.
A construction crew working on Highway 310 near Lovell will install additional lanes and make other changes to improve traffic flow. S&S Builders of Gillette will build two new bridges, make repairs to an existing bridge and realign sections of the road on a 4 mile stretch of highway near Lovell. The work will also include widening certain sections near the junction of Highway 310 and Highway 14A to five lanes to decrease congestion. This is a major project, and the completion date is June 30th of 2019.
Wilson Brothers Construction of Cowley will be doing a short road surfacing and guardrail replacement project on Highway 14 between Greybull and Burgess Junction, to be completed by Aug. 31; and McGarvin-Moberly of Worland will complete a road surfacing and erosion control project on 2 miles of Highway 16 between Worland and Ten Sleep by October 31st.
