Construction Projects Resume

Written by on July 5, 2017

Now that the big 4th of July holiday is over in Cody, construction projects are gearing up again.
A Worland contractor is scheduled to begin an 11-mile pavement rehabilitation project south of Cody on July 6. The project starts about 18 miles south of Cody on Wyoming 120, and extends just over 11 miles toward Cody. Motorists should expect single-lane traffic and delays of up to 20 minutes while the contractor is working.
Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer Todd Frost said that work will continue into mid-August, but will shut down between August 19 and 23rd for the solar eclipse. He adds that paving should be completed by the middle of October, and chip sealing is scheduled for June of next year.
And a highway and bridge improvement project between Lovell and Cowley is scheduled to begin the week of July 10. WYDOT resident engineer Michael Miller of Basin says that only minor traffic delays are expected for this project during working hours, and two-way traffic will be maintained after working hours are complete for the day.
