Construction Truck Removal Planned

Written by on December 4, 2018

The construction truck that went off a 250-foot cliff in October on the Chief Joseph slide site is still at the bottom of the canyon.
However, the president of the construction company says that they are making preparations to remove the truck that is lying in Dead Indian Creek.
A 26 year old Cody man, Ronald Frankenberry, was behind the wheel of the truck when it went off the cliff the night of October 12th. The incident has been under investigation by both the Wyoming Highway Patrol and Wyoming Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
According to an article in the Cody Enterprise, Oftedal president Jeff McDonald said yesterday that weather conditions are favorable, and they were staging the area to prepare for recovery of the truck.
Once OSHA concludes its investigation, Wyoming Highway Patrol Lt. Lee Pence said they will release their findings, along with a toxicology report.
