Construction Will Slow Traffic South of Ten Sleep

Written by on June 20, 2017

A construction project south of Ten Sleep will slow traffic down for the next few weeks.
A reduced speed limit of 45 mph is in effect on the Big Trails full-depth reclamation project on Highway 434. The million dollar project will involve grading, full-depth reclamation, chip sealing and other work on just over six miles of highway between Worland and Ten Sleep.
Wyoming Department of Transportation project engineer Jordan Erz of Worland says the contractor has been running reclaimers all week and should finish that portion soon, but the reduced speed limit will be in place until after the chip seal finish is applied later this summer.
Erz says wait times will be short, up to 15 minutes, since the contractor will be working in sections and moving traffic control along the roadway as the project progresses.
