Country Music Artists Who had Kids In 2022
Written by Brayden McCoy on December 15, 2022
As life gets back to normal, people are still experiencing some effects from the pandemic, but in a good way!
2022 was another great year for country music. The genre has tons of new artists, we saw new faces lead the charts, and many artists headlined major tours across the world.
Many country music families welcomed newborns this year. This shouldn’t come as a surprise because Time Magazine reported that following the pandemic, “there was not a baby bust. If anything, there was a baby bump.” The magazine went on to further mention that “the rate of births among those mothers relative to its pre-pandemic trend was 6.2% higher—marking the first major reversal in the U.S. fertility rates since the 2007 Great Recession.”
Here’s a glimpse at some of the country music families that celebrated the birth of a newborn this year:
- Luke and Nicole Combs
Luke and his wife Nicole welcomed their son, Tex Lawerence Combs, on father’s day. Combs posted on his Instagram, “Welp he decided that Father’s Day would be a good time to show up. I couldn’t agree more.”
- Niko and Anna Moon
The couple welcomed their fast daughter in November. When captioning the above picture, the hit songwriter wrote: “Might have been a toot, but we will say it’s a smile. We love this girl more every day!!” The couple named her Lily Anne Moon.
- Michelle Branch and Patrick Carney
Patrick and Michelle welcomed their new daughter early this year. Patrick took to Instagram and stated, “Willie Jacquet Carney 7 pounds 5 ounces. She’s named after my grandmother, Willie Madge Slate, and Michelle’s mother’s maiden name, Jacquet.”
- Scotty and Gabi McCreery
Just before Halloween, this power couple welcomed their newborn son, Merrick Avery McCreery, to the family. Scotty posted on his socials, “Never known a love like this. Merrick Avery McCreery joined us 11 days early on October 24th at 4:34 am! 7 lbs 13oz of nothing but love.”
- Gabby Barrett and Cade Foehner
A new baby boy joined the family on October 27th. Gabby posted on socials with the caption, “Soaking up the newborn days with baby brother. What a precious gift from our Lord! Augustine Boone Foehner 10.27.22.”
This is just a small sample size of the list.
It’s important to note that some country superstars are expecting kids in early 2023. That list consists of artists such as Shay Mooney, Drew Baldridge, Jon Pardi, John Osborne, and Drake White.
