Cubbies in Laramie Tournament
Written by timanderson on June 22, 2018
Today, the Cody American Legion baseball varsity team opens play among its fourth of five regular-season tourneys by this particular 2018 schedule. The Wyoming Single-A Cubs have a quartet of games in a trio of days away from this local Big Horn Basin area at the Dooley Oil Classic Tournament – a wood bat event, which actually began Thursday night with a couple affairs and is put on by this state’s fellow-varsity-though-Double-A Laramie Rangers.
Cody’s original three clashes are in pool play here on Friday as well as Saturday. These Cubbies get underway this afternoon versus a Colorado team – Mountain View – possibly the Mountain View High School Mountain Lions of Loveland. By tomorrow, Cody finishes that day over back-to-back showdowns among the evening with Wyoming’s Double-A Rock Springs Archie Hay Post 24 Sand Puppies before that previously-mentioned tourney host squad in the nightcap. When these Cubs go at it Sunday – as well as who they’re being up versus – will get decided by how all of the crews do among their pools. (The tournament also features this state’s fellow-A-however-JV Cheyenne Hawks out of the capital city; a gang from Fort Morgan, CO – maybe connected with the Fort Morgan HS Mustangs; the Colorado Baseball Club; and a group out of Spearfish, South Dakota – conceivably Legion Post 164.)
Live coverage of these Cody Cubs can be heard on KODI 1400 AM as well as 96.7 FM initially by 12:15pm today against Mountain View, plus at 7:00pm Saturday versus Laramie. (Sunday’s broadcast time is to be determined.)
