Cubs Fall in the Conference Twin Bill, to Powell, on Tuesday

The Cody Cubs returned to action Tuesday night as they hosted their Park County Rivals, Powell, to close out the conference portion of the regular season.
The Cubs would fall in the twin bill by final scores of 5-4 in game 1 and lost game 2 by a final of 5-1.
This is the first time that Powell has beaten Cody, in baseball, since the 2020 season.
Jackson Schroeder tossed 6 innings in the first game and gave up 7 huts, allowed 3 runs and struck out 5 but Powell would muster a rally late for the win.
In game 2, Trey Thomasson put on one of his best pitching performances of the season going 6.1 innings while giving up just 1 hit. He did allow 4 runs (1 earned) as the Pioneers secured the win with a 4-run 7th.
Following all the action the Cody Cubs are 28-19, 6-2 in conference play. Cody has won the Northwest “A” regular season title and will be the No. 1 Seed at the District Tournament in Green River.
Powell finishes the season 30-19-1, 5-3 in conference play. Powell is the No. 2 Seed at the District Tourney.
Up Next: Cody has one final game to close out the regular season. They will welcome a team out of Billings to town, on Wednesday, for a single 9-inning contest. First pitch scheduled for 6pm.
