The Cody Cubs were in Sheridan over the weekend taking on the Troopers in another Double Header.
In Game 1 of the day the Cubs would fight valiantly, losing in a 3-1 contest.
Jackson Schroeder would take to the hill in the first of the two and tossed 4.1 innings, gave up 5 hits, 3 runs (all earned) and struck out 4 in his first loss of the season. Schroeder did hold arguabley the best offense he’s seen all season to just 3 runs.
In Game 2, the Cubs got on the board early, leading 8-1 but would fall by a final of 17-8.
After falling behind, 1-0 early, the Cubs got the bats going in the second plating 8 runs while bringing 12 batters to the plate. Sheridan would respond, though, scoring the games final 16-runs.
Following all the action the Cubs are now 15-11 on the season.
Up Next: The Cubs are set to welcome the World back to Cody. All week long, the Cody Cubs will play host to the World Baseball Showcases Teams.
