Dolly Parton is ready to rock. The 77 year old country music legend will be releasing her first rock album featuring all-star collaborations with Paul McCartney, Elton John, Miley Cyrus, Lizzo, Stevie Nicks, and many more.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member and Grammy Award winner will release “Rockstar” November 17th. The album will have 30 tracks that include 9 original songs and 21 covers such as “We are the Champions”, “Purple Rain”, and “Every Breath You Take”.
The “9 to 5” singer released a statement sharing her enthusiasm for her newest album. “I’m so excited to finally present my first Rock and Roll album ‘Rockstar’! I am very honored and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time and to be able to sing all the iconic songs throughout the album was a joy beyond measure.” Parton also said, “I hope everybody enjoys the album as much as I’ve enjoyed putting it together!”
Other collaborations on “Rockstar” include Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Ringo Starr, Steven Tyler, Chris Stapleton, Pink, Kid Rock, Sheryl Crow, Nikki Sixx, Pat Benatar, and many more.
