Dolly Parton Sends Nikki Sixx a Heartwarming Message

Written by on July 7, 2023

Earlier this year, Dolly Parton announced she was releasing her first rock album titled, Rockstar. The album featured guest appearances from Rob Halford, Steven Tyler, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Nikki Sixx and many more. Before the full album is released this fall, Parton has been released two singles from the album. She debuted the first song, ‘World on Fire‘ back in May and then performed the song at the ACM’s.

After the song ‘Bygones’ featuring Rob Halford, Nikki Sixx and the newest member of Mötley Crüe, John 5, debuted at number one on the US Mediabase Classic Rock Songs chart, Parton wanted to document the occasion.

Sixx posted on his social media a photo of a personal note that Parton wrote him thanking him for his help with the song.

The note reads:

“Hi Nikki, Well… I guess you’ve heard, we’ve got us a hit record! We’re 41 from what I hear on ‘Bygones’! You did a fantastic job on that. Thank you for joining us, you made it a lot of what it is. I appreciate you. Rock on! Love, Dolly”.

Sixx wrote in his post, “Gonna have to frame this one!” Adding a heart emoji to the caption.

Parton shared a public statement saying, “I am so excited to see the response ‘Bygones’ is receiving! To debut at No. 1 on the Rock charts is such a thrill for me, and it makes it even sweeter to share this with Rob, Nikki and John 5. I also have to recognize my coproducer on the album and cowriter on this song, Kent Wells, who helped me bring this song to life. I am a happy girl today!”

The full album will be released on November 11, 2023, but is available to preorder now.
