Get your donation ready! The Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is on May 11.
Organizers of the Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive say the event is the outgrowth of the National Association of Letter Carriers’ tradition of community service. Residents can leave a bag of non-perishable food by their mailbox on Saturday, May 11th, and their mail carrier will do the rest.
Jodie Booth, coordinator of the Cody “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive, says the effort may be the biggest one-day event of its kind in the country.
Last year Booth says the Cody Post Office collected over 3800 pounds of food, and their best year ever was in 2017, when they collected almost 5700 pounds of non-perishable items for needy families.
