Earth Day Celebrated Tomorrow

Written by on April 20, 2018

Tomorrow the community of Cody celebrates Earth Day.
The celebration will take over the Buffalo Bill Center of the West – from the Lions Club giving away over 800 trees outside, to recycled vehicle races inside, there is something at the event for everyone. That’s according to Phil Anthony, Operating Engineer at the Center of the West.

The Center opens its doors for free to everyone tomorrow, and the Earth Day celebration will begin at noon. But Anthony says that the celebration actually kicks off this evening, with a free showing of the award-winning film Chasing Ice at 6 p.m. in the Coe Auditorium.
Other family-fun activities at the Center tomorrow include a Migration Obstacle Course at noon; and a presentation on the Dynamics of Flight at 1 p.m. For older kids and adults, Buffalo Bill Museum curator Dr. Jeremy Johnston will give a lecture on President Theodore Roosevelt and America’s national parks.
