East Entrance Opens Today

It’s finally THAT day.
The day that tourists coming to Yellowstone National Park can once again make that trek by traveling highway 14/16/20, entering the Park through the east gate just 53 miles from Cody.
The opening of the east gate traditionally marks the beginning of the tourist season, according to Cody Chamber Director Tina Hoebelheinrich.
To celebrate the opening of the East Gate, this morning the Cody Chamber is hosting “Parks and Pancakes,” a free breakfast event open to everyone at the Cody Visitor Center, from 8-10. And beginning Monday, the celebration of the travel industry continues as May 5th through the 11th has been designated as National Travel and Tourism Week.
