Elk Injures Man in Yellowstone

Written by on September 17, 2018

A bull elk knocked a man to the ground in Yellowstone last week, and the incident was captured on video by a park visitor.
Visitor Boyce Schall, who captured the video, told local media that two bull elk were sparring when one decided to cross the street towards a small crowd of people who had gathered to watch the fight. The video shows the elk ducking its head and knocking a man over, then walking away as the crowd scattered.
According to the witness, the man was not seriously injured, and the elk headed off towards a group of cow elk that were on the other side of the crowd of people.
Schall also told the media outlet that park rangers were attempting to keep people away from the elk.
