Written by on May 17, 2021

The Cody Softball team was back in action over the weekend as they took to the road to close out their regular season. The Fillies would bounce back after a rough weekend in Casper as they were fighting for the No. 2 seed for the State Tournament.

On Friday, the Fillies would down Rock Springs 12-3 to give them their 10th win of the season. On Saturday, the Fillies would explode for 24 runs in a demolition of Green River winning the game 24-1, to earn their 11th win of the season and have clinched the No. 2 seed out of the West for this weekend’s State Tournament.

The Fillies officially finish their first ever regular season with an 11-3 overall record.

Up Next: The Cody Fillies will be taking part in the first ever State Softball tournament in Wyoming history, this Thursday through Saturday, in Gillette. It’ll be an eight-team, double elimination tournament. The seeding was based on how the teams fared during the regular season.

The Fillies will open play on Thursday at 4pm against the No. 3 seed out of the East Campbell County.
