Fishhawk Team De-Mobilizes

The precipitation that has fallen on the Fishhawk Fire area west of Cody has allowed firefighters to demobilize and move on to other, more pressing incidents.
Despite the fact that the fire is still smoldering 12 miles east of Yellowstone National Park, all evacuation restrictions have been lifted. The Fishhawk Fire is still listed as having zero percent containment, however.
Rocky Mountain Type 2 Blue Team representatives say the structure protection group finished all the assessments yesterday and have shared that information with the Park County Fire Protection District, to implement into their county structure protection plan.
The Stink Water Fire remains at 47 acres and is 68% contained with no anticipated spread. Local resources will continue to monitor that fire, which is in the Sunlight Basin area near Sulphur Creek.
Forest area closures are still in place around both the Fishhawk and Stink Water fires.
