Flags at Half-Staff for Senator McCain

Written by on August 28, 2018

Flagpoles across the state of Wyoming will reflect the passing of Senator John McCain.
Governor Matt Mead has ordered both the U.S. and State of Wyoming flag be flown at half-staff statewide for Senator McCain immediately until sunset on the day of his interment, which is scheduled for Sunday.
The order comes after President Donald Trump reversed an earlier decision not to lower the flag in honor of the late Senator. The President yesterday signed a proclamation to fly the flag at half-staff until the day of McCain’s internment.
Governor Matt Mead, along with Wyoming Senators John Barrasso and Mike Enzi, expressed their sympathies to McCain’s family. Mead called McCain a dedicated public servant, and an American hero.
