Game and Fish Investigating Bear Shooting

The Cody Game and Fish office is investigating the shooting of a grizzly bear near Cody.
Tara Hodges with the Game and Fish Department says that their office was notified yesterday morning that an adult female grizzly was shot in self-defense on Sheep Mountain. Hodges said that the person immediately reported the shooting and advised that there were cubs in the vicinity.
No human injuries were reported, and Game and Fish have been unable to locate the cubs so far, but the investigation is ongoing.
