Growing Season Extended at Shoshone River Farm

Written by on March 12, 2018

Spring is just around the corner, and nowhere is that as evident as at Shoshone River Farm north of Cody.
Elijah Cobb, on behalf of the Farm, says that the first seeds were planted in the hoop houses on the farm in mid-February, adding that some of those plants are showing signs that they will be ready to harvest around the end of April.
Cobb adds that the eleven hoop houses on the property were constructed by owner Scott Richard, and under the direction of manager Betsy Trana, the buildings do more than just protect the plants.

Vegetables such as lettuce, chard, peas, kale, radishes, spinach and parsley are growing in the hoop houses at the farm between Cody and Powell, and will be available for purchase beginning the first week of May.
