Hawks Shot in Greybull

Written by on September 5, 2017

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is looking for information leading to whoever shot two Coopers Hawks in Greybull last month.
Greybull Game Warden Bill Robertson investigated the report, which came after a tourist found both birds beneath a cottonwood tree in the city park. One bird was dead and the other injured. The injured bird was taken to Ironside Bird Rescue in Cody; and reports from that facility indicate the bird is healing.
Robertson has patrolled the area looking for someone with a high powered air gun, and a news article was placed in the local paper asking for information. Unfortunately, no leads have arisen thus far.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Robertson at 307-765-2163.
