Hazardous Household Waste Collected This Weekend

If you’ve been holding on to those old paint cans just in case they might come in handy, this weekend might be the right time to let them go.
Park County Weed and Pest, along with partners in Powell and Cody, are hosting Hazardous Waste Collection Days Friday and Saturday. Mary McKinney says this is a great opportunity to dispose of items such as old paint, motor oil, pesticides and other toxins in a safe, reliable manner.
McKinney says people can take household quantities, not industrial-sized amounts, to the Park County Weed and Pest location on Road 13 outside of Powell Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., or to the Cody Recycling Center on Saturday from 9-3.
