Heritage Museum Grand Opening Today

Written by on July 19, 2018

The Cody Heritage Museum will open its doors today for free to celebrate its grand opening.
After ten years in the making, the museum, which is devoted solely to the history of this community rather than its founder and namesake, is celebrating the efforts of the volunteers and community collaboration that brought the facility to life.
Lynn Houze, who is the director of the new museum at the corner of Sheridan and 11th Street, told KODI’s Partyline listeners that the exhibits in the museum are displayed in a timeline that walks visitors through the history of the region, as well as focusing on the people who made this town what it is.

Houze adds that there is a need for objects and artifacts to be added to the museum’s displays, and invites local families to contribute collectibles from the community’s history so that others may enjoy them.
The Cody Heritage museum is open this summer Tuesdays through Sundays from 10 am. to 4 p.m. The grand opening today will be at 2 p.m., with Pete Simpson as the keynote speaker and Mack Frost as the emcee for the event.
