Week 6 of the High School Football season is in the books.
Here’s a look at how Class 3A and area teams performed last weekend, starting with a look at Class 3A.
Class 3A
Final Score: #1 Cody 35 #2 Star Valley 25
Final Score: #3 Douglas 56 Riverton 7
Final Score: #4 Buffalo 49 Worland 7
Final Score: Green River 33 #5 Jackson 17

Class 2A
Final Score: #3 Lyman 58 Thermopolis 25

Class 1A-9 Man
Final Score: #2 Shoshoni 28 #5 Big Piney 24 – Shoshoni scored on 4th and 7 with under a minute left to win it.
Final Score: #3 Wind River 64 Greybull 14
Final Score: Rocky Mountain 52 Riverside 14
Class 1A-6 Man
Final Score: #3 Burlington 78 #5 Kaycee 20

The High School playoffs are just around the corner. With just 2 weeks of the regular season left, let’s take a look at post-season scenarios for Cody and area teams. Playoff sceenario info is courtesy of Wyoming-Football.com.
Class 3A West:
Cody is the only team to have clinched a playoff spot. The Broncs can clinch the No.1 seed this week with a win plus a Powell loss.
Star Valley has a leg up for a top spot, while Powell is also in good shape at 2-1. Green River’s victory against Jackson looms large for the No. 4 seed, while Evanston needs some help to stay in the race.
Class 3A East:
Douglas sits atop the East as they too have clinched a playoff spot. They can clinch the No. 1 seed this weekend with a win and a Lander loss.
The No.2 through No. 4 seeds are wide open in the East. It’s going to be a dogfight for those last 3 spots.
Class 2A West:
Lovell has clinched a playoff spot. With a win this week Lovell can clinch the No. 1 seed.
Thermopolis is 1-3 and will need to win out plus get a little bit of help to get in.
1A 9-Man West:
Shoshoni is in. They play Wind River this week with the winner earning the No. 1 seed.
Rocky Mountain, Riverside, Greybull and Big Piney are essentially all battling for the 2 remaining spots.
Big Piney is 3-2 and look to be a win away from getting.
Rocky Mountain (2-2) has the best shot of the area teams to get the last spot. Riverside has to win 2 games in a row and Greybull is eliminated from playoff contention with a loss.
And in the 6-man ranks…
Burlington has secured the No. 1 seed in the North. They remain undefeated. Kaycee is also in.
That means there’s only two other teams that can get in.
Meeteetse is in a win and in situation.
