Several highway projects are underway in the Bighorn Basin.
A $1.6 million project has started directly south of Lovell on U.S. 310. Highway improvements on 5 miles of U.S. 310 directly south of Lovell include widening mailbox turnouts, asphalt pavement milling, and a pavement overlay. Wyoming Department of Transportation resident engineer Michael Miller of Basin says motorists should expect delays of up to 15 minutes.
A $1.3 million highway rehabilitation project has begun on Wyoming 31 near Hyattville. Miller says this project includes shoulder flattening, pipe extensions, and an asphalt pavement leveling and overlay, with paving scheduled for the first part of May.
And a $2.3 million pavement rehabilitation project through the community of Shell is scheduled to begin about May 1 on U.S. 14. Work includes Americans with Disabilities Act improvements. The project completion date is June 30th of next year.
