A longtime member of the Park County Travel Council was the recipient of Wyoming Tourism’s highest honor this year.
Rick Hoeninghausen, who served for many years on the board for the Park County Travel Council, was the recipient of the Wyoming Lodging & Restaurant Association and the Wyoming Office of Tourism’s annual “Big WYO” award at the industry’s conference last week. Hoeninghausen works as the Director of Sales & Marketing at Xanterra in Yellowstone.
Each year, the “Big WYO” award is sponsored by the WLRA and given to an individual who has done an outstanding job promoting and improving the tourism industry in Wyoming. In a press release, the Wyoming Office of Tourism noted that Hoeninghausen has spent over 20 years working to better the tourism industry.
Friends, family and industry partners celebrated his achievement at last Tuesday’s “Salute to the Industry Gala”, where Governor Mark Gordon presented the award.
